The Innocence of a child

Children are so pure and sweet my goodness, Emmy takes me back to the mind of a child all the time with little things she says.
Today we were in Walmart (like every other day, ha) and I told Emmy to walk with me around the corner to get something, she said um, that's okay mom I'll stay here with the buggy, I said um, no you won't honey its not safe for little children to be alone without their mom or dad or adult supervision. I said sweetheart there are some not so nice people in this world and its mommy's job to protect you so therefore you must stay in my sight, she said with a little grin on her face while she was shaking her head, "mom, there are NO bad people in walmart." I just looked and said ugh yes there are honey I hate to inform you. I then realized the way she thinks, think about it, we walk in walmart and a greeter always smiles, gives her a sticker and says hello, honestly its usually a comment like "well aren't you a cute little girl," so Emmy therefore smiles and then we walk on straight to the bakery b/c its right as you walk in, and the bakers greet us, smile, and give little miss a cookie, she thanks them and then we shop, what we do best, and then as we are checking out, the cashiers, whoever they may be always speak to Emmy as though she's the cutest thing they have ever seen and once more Emmy smiles..and then we leave and its a "have a good day honey," from those lovely greeters..
So after all that said, Emmy thinks walmart is one of the safest places in the world..HA..Now wouldn't that be nice..
