Someone Like Me

Not only am I not great--I am also prone to cowardice instead of courage. I don't do so well with confrontation. I get tongue-tied and nervous and forget my words. And then there's my worth. I haven't ever felt worthy of God's goodness to me, and I'm always sure he could find someone more qualified to send.
And yet I still hear God calling me. He is moving in my heart and stirring my mind toward his will. I remind him that I am not great, and he continues to call me anyway. He asks me to be brave in raising my daughter, but I'm not brave. I will be with you. And he sends me, with all my flaws, to speak to people in his name. I will be with you. He knows I'm confident in one day and a pitiful mess the next. I will be with you.
Do you hear God calling you out? Do you hear him asking you to use every one of your gifts for his glory? Like mine, does your heart whisper, "But I am not great?"
Listen to God trust that he will be with you. When a woman like you (or like me)
does anything powerful or strong or brave, everyone can see that you are being led by the hand of God. And then they will see God and worship the One who has been with you and before you and protecting you all along.

Exodus 3:11-12
But Moses said to God, "I am not a great man!" How can I go to the king and lead the Israelites out of Egypt?"
God said, "I will be with you. This will be the proof that I am sending you: After you lead the people out of Egypt, all of you will worship me on this mountain."

so awsome when God uses people for His Glory. Jesus choose some of the simplest men with little education or respect from people to follow him and be his disciples. It only makes it even more evident that it is through Him we have the words to say, the strentgh, courage, etc. Great post. I love your passion for the Lord.
